Book Quickie: A WOMAN’S LIFE IS A HUMAN LIFE: My Mother, Our Neighbor, and the Journey From Reproductive Rights to Reproductive Justice by Felicia Kornbluh.
This book is an important social history of the development of reproductive justice, including the fight against forced sterilization, focused on events in the 1960s and 1970s in New York.
The subtitle aside, the author's mother is not a major subject. The book also slacks off when it covers later events. For instance, an important person somehow mostly disappears. Overall, recommended.
